Our lab conducts both basic and applied research projects that investigate human individuality, as well as leadership initiatives that promote the principles of individuality in science, education, and society. Our basic research is interdisciplinary and focuses on the nature of individuality across different domains, including learning, development, behavior, and the brain. Our applied research draws upon insights into individuality to develop solutions that move our educational system away from the traditional one-size-fits-all model and toward a flexible, adaptive system that ensures both excellence and equity. Our leadership initiatives are focused on developing a sustainable network of collaboration for researchers and practitioners interested in issues concerning individuality, along with a pipeline for next-generation leaders in the field.
